William Lovelock (b. 1899, London; d. Shipston on Stour, Warwickshire, 1986) was an English classical composer and pedagogue. Lovelock was educated at Emanuel School and the University of London where took a DMus. In 1956 he moved to Brisbane, Australia, where he was director of the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, and later music critic of the Brisbane Courier Mail. He wrote numerous textbooks on music harmony and theory.
