Young Ewing Allison (1853-1932) was an American writer and editor for newspapers.
He worked in Henderson, Kentucky, Evansville, Indiana, and for the Lousville Courier-Journal and the Commercial in Louisville, Kentucky. In 1887 he founded a trade journal, The Insurance Field, and was its editor until 1926.
He was a writer of prose and verse, including his poem, the "Derelict," written to complete the verse fragment by Robert Louis Stevenson in Treasure Island which began "Fifteen Men on the Dead Man's Chest..."
