Jules Verne was a French novelist, playwright, and poet.

Born in the Fench city of Nantes, he is regarded by many to be the 'Father of Science Fiction'. He is the second most translated author in the world. His works include 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Around The World In 80 Days, and Journey To The Center Of The Earth. He is considered to be a major literary author in France and Europe. Wikipedia
